I bought a one way ticket returning from Boston in July with 20,000 United Miles + $215. I am flying to Nigeria in July and will be returning to Boston for the last MLT MBA Prep conference.
I consider it a win in some ways and a fail in some other ways. Either way, I saved money and thats all that matters. The cash price of ticket was about $600-$700 for a one way trip from BOS-SFO. My 50,000 bonus United miles kick in next month but I wanted to buy my ticket ASAP because I’m a planner but you already knew that… xoxo.
I already had 20,000 miles in United miles from previous trips over the years so I still felt like it was a good deal. I love United’s Miles+Cash feature. Overall, I am still happy that I saved money.
