My blog made money. What?!?! I don’t know why I always assumed it would be a theoretical accomplishment.

I made a $25 commission in September from people using my link to sign up for the Fierce app’s 5.25% checking account. Looks like some people are out there actively supporting the blog. Thank you, mu luvs. Affiliate marketing for the win.

Is this the beginning of an empire? Maybe.

Actually, I know it’s kind of meta – breaking the fourth wall – to talk about how blogs make money but I’ve been very curious. I know the next step might be to get some ads. I’m looking into Google Adsense next.

If anyone has advice, I’m all ears.
