I had a win last week. I made $70 on FB Marketplace. I was planning on putting this money towards my trip to LA next week. Then, as life tends to do, a curveball was thrown. My vacuum gave out. Or at least I thought it did.
And here began the vacuum saga of 2023.
At first, I thought the vacuum stopped charging. I got it for free from my friend, and I really did not want to buy a new one this month. I was so excited to make my $70, and I looked forward to treating myself with that cash.
Instead of giving up on the vacuum because it couldn’t come on, I went to a vacuum repair shop. I had no idea there were actual businesses to fix vacuums.
I went to the store looking for a fix, and the attendant was like ‘oh it has no warranty. I can’t help you.’
Bitch.
I said ‘Bitch’. In my mind, at least, I hope I didn’t say it out loud. The situation was a bitch. The attendant was mean also. I left disappointed. Gaddamit … my tequila cash is going towards a vacuum. It’s going to be another sober night in the LA clubs. Dirty.
I didn’t give up, though. I went home and started spiraling on some YouTube videos until I found my exact vacuum and the issue. Lo and behold, the answer was on YouTube. I felt like a dumbass. I could have done that first, but I was a click away from giving up and getting a new vacuum.
In the end, my tequila money will be used for tequila. All is right in the world.
